Baby Dedication and Forms

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV).

What is a Baby Dedication?
 
A Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which a Christian parent or parents dedicate a child and make a promise to the Lord to do everything they can to raise the child in a godly manner, until the child can make a decision on his or her own to follow the Lord. The church also commits to do all that it can to assist with the child’s spiritual development as they faithfully attend services. We encourage members to invite family, friends, godparents, and guests to share in this joyous occasion!
 
 
A child can be dedicated at any age. Some prefer to bring their child to the Lord as infants. This is the normal pattern in most churches.
